lalucechenonconosci

let us praise
the ancient times
to learn how to live
in our own.

the international exhibition ‘lalucechenonconosci’ will open in the early months of 2026: a constantly evolving project that tells how, throughout history, artists, architects and designers have addressed, studied and resolved the comparison between natural light and artificial light from antiquity to the present day. the exhibition will be a large open archive in continuous update, offering students and young universaldesigners the opportunity to access the work of the great masters. the exhibition presents special projects and creations, never entered into serial production or catalogs, designed to meet unique needs, problems and design challenges. this heritage will be the starting point for a continuous enrichment path: projects, objects and insights will be added progressively, creating a space where knowledge about light becomes a shared heritage, accessible and fundamental for the study, research, innovation and professional growth of each student. the exhibition is conceived as the beginning of a love correspondence between art and life, in which the engine is ‘designingtheverbtolove’, the principle that guides the universaldesigner and the writersoflight in their path of research, transformation, creation and innovation. ‘artis sola domina necessitas’, necessity is the only mistress of art and according to this belief, the universaldesigner responds to design problems with solutions that combine functionality, knowledge, creativity and art.
