the cultural movement
the scrittoredellaluce (lit. writersoflight) movement was born in bologna on february 2, 2025, the feast of the presentation of the lord (candelora), from the visionary legacy and desire of marionanni. this movement aims to change the paradigms of design, creating the new profession of the future: the scrittoredellaluce.
design should not be seen as a mere professional activity, but rather as a way of relating to life, because the meaning of design is primarily about building ourselves. we must design with joy, because it is joy that makes us live with satisfaction, that ignites thought and gives light to our actions. the project thus becomes a promise, a suggestion of quality, value, and worth, as it embodies the attempt to correct the disorder of the world, by mindfully utilizing the knowledge and technological tools of today, but above all, of the future.

we want to democratize art to overcome the boundaries of exclusivity, integrating it into everyday life, so that every gesture, every home, every moment can be permeated by beauty. art is building something that is for everyone and belongs to everyone. beauty arises from culture and the simplicity of need. we must bring beauty into daily life, making every space a place of expression and value. the true value of a work lies in its ability to enrich the human experience and also become part of everyday use.
light is not produced, it is welcomed. light and darkness are learned through emotions, with hands and eyes. it is always the emotion of nothingness. observing light means understanding its forms, shadows, nuances, learning to write it and translate it into thought and project; it means refining vision, training the mind to see beyond, transforming light into language. knowledge grows only if it is shared, transmitted from those who have explored it to those who are ready to receive it. learning to look, listen, smell, touch, taste is the first step to writing with light, because only those who can grasp its essence can consciously give it back to the world.
the white page is never an blank page, but a page full of light, a new opportunity.
light is intended not only as a material, natural or artificial, but also as a guiding light that accompanies us and shapes our life path.
